I started this experiment some time back, and today I decided to update it. Here are the previous posts:
Currently the rankings are stuck between 30 to 40:
The switchbox SEO technique worked, and I haven’t added in any more links since I started this experiment. However, in SEO we need to understand that are things called link velocity and link acceleration:
Link Velocity is defined as the rate at which a site gains back links on a day to day basis. You need to maintain the link velocity for a good SEO result.
Link Acceleration is defined as the change in link velocity over a certain time interval. A good increase in link acceleration could mean that there is viral traffic going on.
Since the rankings had been stuck between 30 to 40 for a while, I decided to execute what I call the RANK MOVER.
Rank mover = Increase in link velocity & acceleration over a short period of time to create BUZZ!
This is an old technique, which worked before the Google Panda update. However things have changed over the past 2 years. Here is the back link strategy that used to work for me in the past:
In the past before Panda, to rank up a site you can easily to the following :-
- Send 1 press release per week, 4 to 6 times
- Buy retweets, Facebook re-posts.
- Send different kinds of back links and drip feed over a period of time, maybe 2 to 3 weeks.
This will usually create enough buzz to move up the ranks, if your ranking is stuck on pages 2 to 4.
However, a lot of things have changed since then – the Google algorithm itself has changed so much in the last 2 to 3 years.
So here is an updated version of the Rank Mover Technique that I am currently testing:
- Point the upgraded Amaterasu private blog network which total up to 52 backlinks
- Web 2.0 x 50 links mix
- Social Signal x 100 mix
- High PR 7 – 9 profile links
- High quality press release x 2
